Amdahl Bottleneck Dominance Test
Pre-Registered Founder-Prior Falsification Experiment
HYPOTHESIS
Increasing frontier reasoning model intelligence by ≥2× yields <15% reduction in total loop wall-clock latency, because loop latency is asymptotically dominated by non-reasoning phases (compilation, physical disk I/O, container orchestrations, network round-trips, and test verification suites).
Pre-registered test against the founder prior to ensure Ostrium is prepared to discover when intelligence is not the binding constraint.
KILL CONDITION
2× intelligence scaling produces proportional total loop speedup (>50%), falsifying the Amdahl constraint claim.
- Falsification metric
- Phase-by-phase wall-clock latency distribution
PROTOCOL
- Scope
- Automated reasoning-to-validation loops in complex environments
- Latency nodes
- reasoning, engineering
- Success condition
- If non-reasoning phases account for ≥80% of total loop time, intelligence is not the dominant bottleneck for this capability class.
